About Me

I have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from UBC. And I am a registered clinical counselor with the BCACC. My clinical practice expands over 20 years.

Do you often feel overwhelmed? Do you spend much time unfavorably comparing yourself to others? Have you been attempting to change some unhealthy patterns that are no longer serving you? Do you feel anxious or blue much of the time? These are just some of the challenges that my clients are initially struggling with.

I am highly optimistic about people’s natural capacity for emotional health. My goal is to help to empower my clients to heal from past wounds, to grow into the person they would like to become, and to thrive in their lives and their relationships. I have a highly effective eclectic practice that includes cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness practice, and imagery work.

Clinical results could include

  • increased confidence
  • improved relationships and ability to communicate
  • increased level of personal fulfillment and pleasure
  • more energy
  • lower levels of stress and anxiety
  • greater resilience

Clinical Approaches Used

It is essential that your therapist is a good “fit” for you. It is important to feel comfortable and safe with your therapist. In addition, your therapist should have the skills and knowledge to help you to meet your clinical goals. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me in order to assess if I would be a good fit for you.

I specialize in the following clinical approaches:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • EMDR therapy
  • Mindfulness
  • Imagery work
  • Narrative therapy

I have an eclectic clinical approach and tailor my work according to the unique needs of each of my clients. During the first session, I take a comprehensive individual and family history of the client in order to assess their clinical needs. After the initial session, I use a variety of practical and well-researched counselling strategies to help my clients to manage stress more effectively, to communicate better, and to express and to let go of challenging emotions, and harmful self-belief systems.
